Ending up here, starting a microblog, because I wanted to know what happened to a university philosophy instructor for a course on Nietzsche many years ago, whose blog I sometimes read, which was so obscure and erudite I had zero-the-heck clue what was going on in it, but was still enjoyable to look at.

I am actually amazed by how usable things can be when new and fresh minds are applied with energy. Like the way this word processor (Jesus, uh, someone, I meant, uh "blog writing platform??" skin melts away do not look at me) moves so rapidly and allows you to drop in an image without any fuss.

Marge Simpson grimacing, while eating something from a bowl with a spoon, at a disembodied hand showing her whatever happens to be on a cellphone.

Like this. Bam!

The ease of it feels like a Notion thing, like a Notion-minded person went "Hey, yeah, this is what things OUGHT to be! :)"

Maybe there's hope for the internet after all.

Oh! This reminds me of the olden days of Tumblr! I haven't set foot there in a while, but it was my favorite place to write things down, precisely due to the ease of adding content AND this constrained typing area, which feels less overwhelming, less stuffy and formal than any kind of Wordpress-adjacent blogging platform.

OK I need to get the hell offa here. Scat! Scadoodle! Scram!

p.s. I edited this post to replace a bit of profanity that, after looking at it, felt entirely out of place! Unnecessary! Off-putting and just not the right tone for things here. No, no, no.
